Hi fellow animation fans, welcome to my review of Kung Fu Panda 4.
Synopsis: After learning all that he can learn as the Dragon Warrior, Po (Jack Black) learns that he is to become the spiritual leader and must choose another Dragon Warrior. Of course, Po does not like this idea and luckily, he is sidetracked by a new villain, but as he knows very little about them, he teams up with Zhen (Awkwafina) and together they set forth to do battle, learning important lessons about themselves along the way.
The Good:
* As in all Dreamworks pictures the animation is absolutely beautiful and well detailed.
* I really liked that Po's story has finally come full circle, from becoming the Dragon Warrior to obtaining the highest level as the Spiritual Leader of the Valley of Peace and having to pick the next Dragon Warrior.
* I also think the voice over work was great with Awkwafina being the standout, she brought a lot of energy and some perfectly timed one-liners to the new character Zhen.
* I really loved the Bunny Tavern fight, and it would honestly be one of the funniest most awesome fights of the series.
* Jack Black performs a pretty damned awesome rendition of the Britney Spears classic 'Hit Me Baby One More Time'.
The Bad:
* I think Master Shifu has been ripped off, surely he should have become the leader and Po become the master, but this really doesn't detract from the movie much.
* Only one of the spirits speak at the end, I think more of them speaking up would have had a greater impact.
* There's no Furious Five, except a small training montage during the credits.
* The enemy in this one did not come across as all that menacing.
