South Park Bigger Longer and Uncut (1999)

Hi fellow animation fans, welcome to my review of South Park: Bigger, Longer and Uncut.

Synopsis : In the feature film inspired by the popular animated series, South Park's third graders covertly watch an R-rated movie by the notoriously crude Canadian TV stars Terrance (Matt Stone) and Phillip (Trey Parker) and come out with enriched vocabularies that shock their parents and teachers. The South Park parent's attempt to ban the film sparks a contentious battle with Canada, leading to Terrance and Phillip's imprisonment on death row, leaving it up to the children to rescue them.

The Good:

* Beneath all the dirty language and potty humor there is quite an astute message about censorship in the media plus my favorite message, about family relationships with a subtle dig at parents who ignore their children then blame others when something happens.
* I also really enjoyed a few of the new songs, they were quite catchy, even though they were expletive ridden.
* I also really enjoyed the part near the end where Cartman discovers the power of the V-chip, sure it's rude and immature but it always cracks me up, and honestly where's the fun in life when we can't act like immature children once in a while?

The Bad:

* Fans of the show will notice this but one of the songs is recycled from either season one or two, it fits in well with the movie but something new would have been nice.
* The show loves to lampoon celebrities, so fans of those celebrities may not find things that funny.
